School instruction (Primary and Secondary)
School instruction is comparable over all of Australia with just minor varieties in the middle of states and regions. School training (essential and optional) is necessary between the ages of six and sixteen (Year 1 to Year 9 or 10). School training is 13 years and separated into:
Elementary school – Runs for seven or eight years, beginning at Kindergarten/Preparatory through to Year 6 or 7.
Optional school – Runs for three or four years, from Years 7 to 10 or 8 to 10.
Senior optional school – Runs for a long time, Years 11 and 12.

Tertiary instruction

Tertiary instruction incorporates both advanced education (counting colleges) and professional instruction and preparing (VET).

Dialect of guideline

English is the official dialect of Australia and the primary dialect of guideline in the instruction framework. Numerous schools offer bilingual projects or projects in different dialects.
Australian Qualifications Framework (+)
The Australian Qualifications Framework (+) establishes the quality of Australian qualifications.
The + is the national policy for regulated qualifications in the Australian education and training system. It incorporates the quality assured qualifications from each education and training sector into a single comprehensive national qualifications framework.
The + was first introduced in 1995 to underpin the national system of qualifications in Australia encompassing higher education, vocational education and training and schools. The background to the + is documented.

A. If you have any questions about the course you are studying or perhaps you need some student Visa guidance, our friendly counselors are there to help.

Q. Can I transfer to another institution before I finish my current course?

A. You should contact your current education provider for this information and request a release letter – our counselors will help explain the process to you. In most circumstances, the new education provider will be restricted from enrolling you if you have not completed six months of the course for which your visa was granted. Other conditions that are important to consider include your SVP status. Our counselors can provide guidance on these student visa matters too, but you also need to consult the Department of Immigration and Border Protection website.

Q. What should I consider when choosing what and where to study?

A. When considering what and where to study, an AAI counselor will match your academic interests and your career goals with course criteria from more than 400 universities and institutions across Australia. It is very important that you think about the most convenient location for you, the institution’s ranking, the amount of time you would like to spend away from home, and the total cost of studying and living in Australia. If you would like to explore the option of post-study work rights, you will need to be aware of the Visa policies in place and also be aware that these government policies can change at any time. Your counselor will be able to guide you on the courses, institutions, and locations that best meet your preferences.

Q. Does AAI have any special relationship with specific institutions?

A. Yes, AAI has an arrangement with more than 500 leading universities and institutions around the world. As a world leader in international student services, the universities and institutions we partner with are of a high standard.

Q. What financial support is available?

A. There are a limited number of scholarships and bursaries available for international students. The amount varies by level of study and the institution. Scholarships are competitive and you need to demonstrate exceptional academic achievements in order to obtain them. Governments and other organizations also provide a number of scholarships and awards to help international students study overseas. Your AAI expert will have details of various scholarship schemes.

Q. How long does Visa application procedure require?

A. The average time taken by the Australian High Commission for the Visa procedure is anywhere between 8 to 12 weeks, depending on the individual’s background. So, the students need to apply for their Visas at least 3 months prior to their course commencement.

Q. How do I know if I am eligible for the Permanent Residency (PR)?

A. Currently a student needs to cover up to 120 points to become eligible for the PR. The points can be obtained by a combination of the following: course, age, English language proficiency, duration of the study in Australia, studying in a regional area, and working part time. For further details and to test your points, visit www.immi.gov.au

Q. What salary can I expect when I start working in Australia?

A. The average starting salary that you can earn is between AUD 2500 to AUD 4000 per month.

Q. My education has been in English. Do I still need to sit for IELTS?

A. IELTS is a mandatory visa requirement.

Q. What are the visa possibilities for my spouse/ dependent?

A. Spouse / dependent of a Student-Visa holder in Australia gets a Dependent Visa and a valid work permit for the same duration as the primary applicant.
